Freestanding Acrylic Bathtub Production Inspection — 2011 | Result PASS
Year 2011. Oriental IMEX conducted a post-production inspection of a batch of sanitary acrylic freestanding bathtubs manufactured for a European bathroom fittings importer. The photos show dozens of units prepared for shipment — each wrapped in stretch film directly on the production floor before being placed into transport packaging.
Freestanding bathtubs require particular attention during inspection. Sanitary acrylic is a material susceptible to scratching and deformation, and sea transport from China to Europe takes several weeks — any defect hidden under the film may only become visible when unpacked at the end client's premises.
The inspection scope covered visual assessment of the internal and external surfaces — checking gloss uniformity, absence of air bubbles, scratches, discolouration and unevenness. Wall thickness was measured at multiple points on each bathtub, edge finish quality was verified, drain fitting operation was checked, and the condition and integrity of the protective film before packing was confirmed.
The inspection took place on the live production line — inspectors assessed each bathtub individually before the packing team wrapped it for shipment.
Inspection result: PASS. The entire batch was approved for loading and delivered to Europe without claims.
Year 2011 — over fourteen years ago. Oriental IMEX was doing exactly what it does today: standing between the factory and the client to ensure goods arrive in the condition they should.
