Selling products in the European Union and the United States requires meeting strictly defined safety, environmental and technical requirements. CE marking, RoHS and REACH directives, FCC certificates for electronics, FDA standards for food and medical products — every category has its own set of requirements, and failure to meet them can result in customs detention of the shipment, financial penalties and the need for costly disposal. Oriental IMEX supports importers throughout the certification process: from assessing requirements for a specific product, through selecting an accredited testing laboratory, to preparing complete technical documentation and declarations of conformity. Certifications and standards we handle

CE Marking (European Union)

CE is a mandatory requirement for products placed on the EU market. Covers: electronics (LVD, EMC), toys, construction products, machinery, medical devices. We help select the applicable directive, organise testing in an accredited laboratory and prepare the Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and technical documentation.

RoHS & REACH

The RoHS directive restricts hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. REACH regulates the use of chemical substances in products placed on the EU market. We assist in product composition assessment, commissioning laboratory tests and preparing required documentation.

US Certifications — FCC, FDA, CPSC

The US market requires separate certifications unrelated to the European system. FCC for electronic and wireless devices, FDA for food products, supplements and medical devices, CPSC for consumer products. We support the entire process — from importer registration to obtaining the certificate.

Before you place an order with the factory — we check what your product will need in terms of certification for the target market. This allows requirements to be included in the specification already at the production stage and avoids costly post-hoc modifications.

Laboratory selection & coordination

We help select an accredited testing laboratory appropriate for your product category and budget. We coordinate sample delivery, test schedule and transmission of results to the certifying body.
