Pre-shipment Inspection: Paw Patrol Paw Bath Bombs 5×20g — 24,300 units | March 2026 | PASS
Report No. OIS20260316PSI-01. Inspection conducted on 16 March 2026 in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. Inspector: Colin.
Subject of inspection: Paw Patrol Paw Bath Bombs 5×20g Black Berry — bath bombs shaped like Paw Patrol dog paws under Nickelodeon licence, in blackberry fragrance. Set: 5 bombs of 20g each, packed in a doypack. Order: 24,300 sets (675 cartons), 100% finished, 97.8% packed at time of inspection.
Inspection standard: ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2008, plan G-II. Sample: 315 units. AQL limits: CRI 0 / MAJ 2.5 / MIN 4.0.
The paw shape gives this batch a special character — the product required not only standard cosmetic tests but also assessment of the accuracy of the paw pattern and colour uniformity (blue dye in the bomb). Dissolution test: bombs dissolved in 38–45°C water within 20 minutes, no staining of white cotton fabric. Fabric dyeing test: PASS. Weight test (5 units): 22 / 24 / 25 / 23 / 23g — all above the required minimum. Smell test: PASS. Barcode scanning: PASS.
Four tests remained Pending due to factory-side issues: master carton weight (5.2 kg vs 4.66 kg printed — exceeds ±5% tolerance), drop test (refused due to PDQ packaging), transportation test (no machine), and bubble effect test (no foam effect observed after full dissolution — noted for client).
Inspectors also raised two process comments: unit packs were very disordered inside the master carton during movement (recommendation: add cardboard dividers to prevent shifting), and approximately 1.5 cm of empty space in the carton — identical to the previous shipment.
Defects found (all minor): mechanical damage 1 unit, dirty mark 1 unit, uneven blue colour 5 units. Total: 7 minor / max allowed 21. Zero critical. Zero major.
AQL result: PASS. Goods approved for shipment.
