Pre-shipment Inspection: Laundry Scent Booster Pearls — Pink & Blue | June 2025 | PASS

Report No. OIS20250607PSI-01. First-round Final Random Inspection (FRI) conducted on 7 June 2025 at a factory in China. Inspectors: Colin and Lucky.

Subject of inspection: scent booster pearls for laundry, in two colours/scents — pink and blue. Total order: 79,464 pcs (Pink 39,732, Blue 39,732). At the time of inspection, 60,864 pcs — 76.5% of the order — were finished and packed (Pink 21,840 pcs, Blue 39,024 pcs); the factory committed to completing and packing the remainder before shipment.

Inspection standard: ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2008 (MIL-STD-105E), plan G-II, normal inspection. Sample: 250 units per colour per criterion. AQL limits: CRI 0 / MAJ 1.5 / MIN 4.0.

Result by criterion: quantity — PENDING (see completion note above). Product and packing check — PASS. On-site tests — PENDING (see transportation-test note below). Workmanship AQL — PASS for both colours: Pink CRI 0/0, MAJ 0/7, MIN 4/14; Blue CRI 0/0, MAJ 0/7, MIN 9/14.

On-site test results: dissolve and dye test — pearls placed in 25–40°C water dissolved within 20 minutes with no colour transfer onto white cotton fabric — PASS. Barcode scanning test — PASS. 3M tape adhesive test and internal structure check — N/A for this item. Carton dimension and weight check — PASS (measured 27.7×20.9×19cm / 3.2kg against a printed spec of 27.5×21×19cm / 3.5kg). Carton drop test (ISTA-1A, 76cm height) — PASS, no damage to carton or product. Product weight check (minimum 180g) — PASS: Pink units measured 182.8–187.3g, Blue units measured 181.0–182.0g. Smell test against the approval sample — PASS. Dyeing test (colour transfer onto white cotton after wash) — PASS.

Open item: the factory's transportation test machine was not functioning at the time of inspection, so the 1-hour outer-carton transportation test could not be carried out on site.

Defects found in the workmanship sample (250 units per colour): Pink — foreign body in the label (1 MIN), round sticker off-centre (1 MIN), wrinkled round sticker (1 MIN), black stains (1 MIN), 4 MIN total. Blue — round sticker off-centre (7 MIN), batch number sticker off-centre (1 MIN), upturned sticker edge (1 MIN), 9 MIN total. No critical or major defects on either colour.

Overall inspection result: PASS — the workmanship AQL passed cleanly for both colours. The "quantity" and "on-site tests" criteria were marked Pending purely for administrative/equipment reasons (packing still in progress at inspection time, and a broken factory test machine) rather than any quality concern. Both were closed out before shipment: production was completed, and the transportation test was carried out and confirmed.
